Put the asparagus in a pan, drizzle with oil and season with salt and pepper. Toss and roast in a 400 degree oven for about 30 minutes. The time can vary based on the size of the vegetable - so keep an eye on it. You may want to toss them again, about halfway through cooking.

Recipe: Roasted Asparagus
I love to make roasted asparagus as a yummy side dish. It tastes so much better than boiled or sauteed asparagus. They become toasty and nutty flavored, even a little sweet. You can buy a HUGE bag of asparagus at Costco (when available) for about $3.50. I also get some good, thin asparagus at the Farmer's Market.

Yummy!!! I loved your asparagus so much I came home and made it myself... your right roasted is totally the way to go. I need you to keep posting cooking ideas, seriously I am just challenged when it comes to coming up with an idea... tell me what to do and how to do it and I will try it!! It's late and I should be sleeping but instead I am getting hungry for asparagus... not good! Love ya!
You are still teaching your old mom new tricks. Thanks.
Roasted asparagus tonight - you're right, it was delicious.
This is what I always do too. I put a little parmesan cheese and garlic on 'em before I put them in the broiler.
